It is another positive step forward that will provide the necessary foundation from which to grow the Youth Section and support our drive for the continuous improvement opportunities required to develop our youngsters and their Coaches even further. I am sure David will be smiling down on us with pride as to how far we have come with his help and support along the way. Speaking to the club's official website, Youth Chairman Dennis O'Meara said " We are delighted to have finally secured this fantastic facility for the Football Club. The Football Club would like to place on record its thanks to Dennis O'Meara, who along with the late David Taylor, worked tirelessly to get both Fiona Way and Kings Field leases secured. Further details with regards to this will become available in due course. Kings Field also has a small function room with kitchen facilities and potential for a bar, which will be open for our members, parents, spectators, guests and our young Eagles to use, as well as the local community.
The new location will be the home for Bedford Town FC Youth Development sides from Under 12 upwards and further announcements will follow in the coming weeks as to how this will be expanded and operate. It joins the Eyrie and Fiona Way in the club's growing portfolio of locations that benefit players of all ages.
Kings Field, located on the Great Ouse Way between Biddenham, Bromham and Clapham, will become a third home to the Eagles. At the start of the New Year, the youth signed an agreement to bring Kings Field playing fields and Pavilion into our portfolio of sites as a football club.
